Easter Weekend

Saturday we headed to the biggest Easter Egg hunt in peirce county. Lily had been practicing for weeks at home and we felt she was ready for the challenge. She and Jeff took to the field and retrieved several eggs filled with lots of candy.
So many eggs! Lily had a blast.

After the egg hunt, we came home to decorate eggs. I wasn't so sure about this, but Lily loved dropping the eggs into the dye.

After the eggs were colored, Lily thought it was great fun to throw the eggs off the table. Which she did to every singe egg we dyed. Who was I to stand in the way of her fun?!

As it turned out, Lily was quite good at peeling the eggs she dropped and cracked. All those peeled eggs made my dinner plans easy- egg salad sandwiches. Too bad I am the only one in my family who will eat eggs!

Sunday morning we had a sunrise breakfast with our church family. Angela (Jeff's sister) also joined us for the yummy treats.

After church we came home for a quick break and an Easter basket.

Lily enjoy her new toys and books. The bubbles were especially a big hit. But her favorite part- the yellow grass at the bottom of the basket. A week later, I am still finding little grass strings hidden around the room.
We spent the rest of the day with my family enjoying fun times playing, opening Easter baskets, finding Easter eggs, and eating lots of yummy food.
Such a fun day to celebrate family and our risen Lord!
