Beach Time!

Neskowin 2011We had another FANTASTIC week on the Oregon Coast this summer. The weather was amazing so we spent lots of time playing on the beach. Lily loved digging in the sand and playing with her cousins. She and Hudson and destined to be great friends as they grow older. Lily loved her baby cousins. If Oliva or Emma were near, Lily was quickly at their side.

We took many fun walks exploring the beach and checking out the tides.

Lots and lots of fun beach time! It was so great to see all the cousins really enjoying playing together.

Olivia had fun on the beach, too.

My sweet Lily!

The only thing Lily didn't love about the beach was nap time. One afternoon we went for a drive to encourage her to take a little nap. We found our way to Cascade Head to find this viewpoint. We also discovered a great hike we hope to do next summer.

Lily had lots of special times playing with her daddy.

One night we had our second annual campfire with 'smores. Even the babies got bundled up to enjoy the campfire, but they didn't get any 'smores.

Emma was having to much fun with Boppo to notice she didn't get any treats.

This year the tides left several areas of shallow water to play in. Lily loved running in the water and watching it splash around her.

Lily really LOVED chasing the waves. We couldn't keep her out of the water! She would run away from the waves and then do a quick U-turn right back straight into the next wave. It was so much fun to watch her pure joy!

Lily liked to hand out sand. She is such a good sharer...most of the time.

Lily built lots of sandcastles. Her favorite part was knocking them back down.

It was a truly amazing week of family and fun.

Special thanks to Boppo and Grandma for making it possible for this special tradition to continue! I am already look forward to the fun memories we will make next year. 344 days to go!

Deer!

We had some more visitors. I just love where we live!

Camping Fun

Jeff and I love to camp and this time it was extra fun because we got to share it with my sister's family. They had never taken their kids camping before, but we are pretty sure they enjoyed it despite the rough night of tossing kiddos.

We stayed close to home and headed to Lake Kachess. The weather was great and the kids enjoyed playing in the lake.

Lily has discovered a new love for water this summer.
Lots of splashing...

The lake was very inviting!

Lily had her first rice crispy treat...and kept going back for more bites!

After all the water play, we went back to camp to relax and eat some dinner. Too bad the mosquitoes were busy eating us for dinner, too.

The campground was super dusty, so Lily got a little dirty. She looked a little like she had been raised by wolves... Baby Olivia was quiet the trooper! Lily loved "baby" and always made sure Olivia had her pacifier weather she wanted it or not. After packing up we found another calm cove to play in and enjoy some lunch before the car ride home.

We had a fantastic time and hope to do it again soon!

My little country girl!

The Zoo

While Jeff was away at Camp, Lily and I met some friends for a trip to the zoo. Lily was more interested in people watching and Bronson was having fun running, so we made a quick tour of the animals and then headed to the kids zone for some play time.

The kiddos had fun brushing and feeding the goats.

Yummy, goat food!
