Chickens!

Meet the newest members of our household! This past weekend we got 5 chicks that were just a few days old. They are so cute!

From left to right: Rocky, Flighty, Buffy, Gandalf, and Red Baron.

Lily thinks the chicks are so much fun! She loves to watch them. She waves and says "hi-ya!"
She isn't too sure about petting or holding them, and they startle her when they flutter about, but she can't get enough of them.

The chicks are currently living in our laundry room and she loves to go in and say hi.

In only a week they have gotten so much bigger! Their wings have feathers, their feet have quadrupled in size, and they eat like crazy. Jeff has been busy building the chicken coop and just has a few finishing touches left. I'll update more when we move them outside!
