Grandma Kay

My Grandma Kay came to visit for two whole weeks at the end of April. At first I was a little uncertain about who the strange lady staying in the room next to me was, but after a few days of watching her, I decided she must be okay. Once we started playing, I had so much fun! Grandma Kay read me books, sang songs, talked to me in funny voices, and held me lots. She was even here for my dedication and we celebrated Mother's Day a week early. Most of all it was fun to have her here to be part of our every day life. By the end of the two weeks, Mom even left me all alone with Grandma Kay a few time. It was great having Grandma Kay here! Hopefully she will come back soon!

All Dressed Up

In celebration of Lily's dedication she recieved a beautiful quilt from her grandma. The front of the quilt has paper doll fabric, hence the name: All Dressed Up.
As God's chosen people. holy and dearly loved, clothe yourself with compasion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, and over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity. Col 2:12-14

4 Months Old

Lily went to her 4 month check up on Monday.
She is now 24 inches long and weighing in at 10 lbs, 15 ounces.
Such a sweet, little thing!

Dedication Sunday

Every day I am blessed by our precious little girl and reminded through her that God is gracious, loving, giving, and in control. This past Sunday, April 25th, we dedicated sweet Lily back to the Lord being confident that he has a great plan and purpose for her life. Jeff and I are committed to faithfully teaching Lily about God's great love for her and raising her to in return love others has He modeled for us to do. We are thankful for the support of our amazing families and church community as we seek wisdom and help to do this.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and you when you lie down and when you rise.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Pastor Chris said a few words of encouragement and gave reminders about keeping God the center of our home at all times. He reminded us that Jesus called the children to him, and blessed them. Then he and his wife blessed our family through a prayer. At the end he also gave a little shout out to our family...all 21 that were able to come and the many more that love Lily. After church we returned to our house to enjoy lunch together and relax with family in the beautiful weather.

Easter

Easter morning started with a joyous celebration at church. It was so fun to have Angela join us at church for the morning.

After church we headed home to eat lunch, give Lily her Easter basket,

and take some spring pictures in Easter best.

Then we headed up to Snoqualmie to celebrate with my family. It was very fun to watch all the kids open their baskets from Grandma and Boppo.

Of course Lily got a basket, too!

But Mom had to help her open it. She got a miracle blanket to help her sleep through the night (crossing our fingers!), a wipe warmer for a little indulgence during diaper changes, and some sweet outfits for when she is a bit bigger.

After Easter baskets, the kids searched the house for fun filled eggs.

Grace, with the advantage of being the eldest, certainly came out ahead!

Even Lily, with a little help, found an egg for her basket.

Overall it was a fantastic day to celebrate our risen Lord and share family traditions with Lily!

Crazy Hair

Lily has been working through a case of cradle cap- very dry, flakey scalp. To help I have been putting some baby oil on her scalp and combing through her hair to remove the flakes. The resulting hair style cracks me up every time!
Don't you just wonder what she must be thinking...

100 Days

On April 2 Lily celebrated her hundredth day! The joy that I receive from this little girl is amazing. She is so adorable and every time she smiles it makes me giggle to see her delight. The time goes by so quickly and I am trying to savor every moment with her.
Here are a few of her spring pictures.
