4th of July

Happy 4th of July!
This year we celebrated our independence a day early enjoying family and fun on Snoqualmie Ridge. Lily's cousins were all in the annual Snoqualmie parade...

After the parade we headed over to the carnival and visited the petting zoo. It was about the only event Lily could do this year, but maybe next year she will like the horses and bouncy houses!

When the fun was done, we headed over my parents house to relax and enjoy the rest of the day. Grace (who is going to be a big sister again soon!) loves to help and wanted to help feed Lily. She quickly took over and did great. Yum!
Come on, Grace...Where is my food?
Such sweet cousins!
And we ended the day with fantastic dinner and this yummy strawberry pie.

What a fun day!

New Camera!

My amazing family gave me a fancy new camera for my birthday. With this great weather I have had fun going outside to play around taking pictures. There is still so much to learn about how to use the camera, but it is a fun process. Here are a few shots from our yard.

La Wis Wis

Lily had her first camping trip this past week. We headed to La Wis Wis campground just outside of Packwood. Jeff's sister, Angela, joined us as well and we had so much fun!
Sadie loved playing in the river.
We "hiked" to bluehole and admired the clear, cold water. It was so fun the share our joy of camping with Lily!

Lily slept in a peapod. This is her little tent that fit nicely inside of our tent. She loved playing in it and slept great!
We stayed warm by bundling up. The weather wasn't what we had hoped for, but at least it didn't rain too much.
After Lily was in bed we enjoyed fun games and smores by the campfire.
Jeff was our camp chef for the trip. Sadie enjoyed the extra pancake.
After breakfast we "hiked" the half mile to the falls.
Lily loved camping and we look forward to many more memories enjoying the outdoors together.

Lily's Day

Today was Lily's Day!
Since Lily's birthday is so close to Christmas, we have decided to celebrate her half birthday every year. This gives us a chance to spoil Lily a little extra and to set aside a day away from the busy holiday season just to celebrate her and what a gift she is to us.

This year we decide to visit Lake Tipsoo. This is a special location to Jeff's family as both his mom's parents have their ashes spread there. There is a great 3.5 mile hike we were planning on taking and were hoping we might even see some wild flowers. But when we got there, we found SNOW!

We estimated about 8 feet of snow still covering the whole area, including the lake. So we took a few pictures, laughed at our great planning and got back in the car.

Instead we headed back down the river to a snow free camp ground. We walked around a bit, admired the river, and had some lunch.

Yummy sweet potatoes!

And of course no half-birthday celebration would be complete without presents!
Lily thought eating the presents seemed like a good idea.

She got some fun new bath toys, a few cute outfits for summer, some stylish bibs for all her eating, and a fun new book.

We ended our fun day lounging on the deck.
Lily is enjoying her fingers and toes a lot these days.
What a sweet, little girl we have been blessed with!

6 Month Check Up

Lily had her 6 Month check up today. She got two shots, an oral vaccine, and a toe prick.
Her official stats:
height- 25 inches (25 percentile)
weight- 12 pounds (5th percentile)
It was a much more difficult appointment for Lily then her other check ups have been. Normally she is a very happy little girl these days, but at the doctor's office she screamed almost the whole time. Maybe she was remember the shots from last time...
