Nana Bea

I am so blessed to have grown up with an amazing grandma who loved and spoiled all her grandkids lots and lots. This past week she came up to celebrate her 90th birthday.
It was a great time to gather as a family and celebrate her. We all had stories to share of our favorite things about Grandma and dinner was a compilation of some of her favorite recipes that she used to fix for her family including appetizers of avocado on toast and a main course of spaghetti.Nana Bea, as she is known to her great-grandkids, loved the time she got to spend with all these precious little ones.
And it was a great opportunity for her to meet the newest addition to her family.Four generations of Tish girls!
Grandma got some extra time with Lily when she came to visit our house for a day. Both Nana Bea and Lily loved this special time together!

Happy Birthday Grandma! We love you lots!

One Month Check-Up

Lily is getting so big! It is hard to believe that a whole month has passed since this little bundle of joy came out to bless our family. At her one month appointment today Lily weighed 8lbs. 5.4oz (exactly two pounds more than when she was born) and measured at 21.25 inches long. What a sweet little thing she still is!
The above picture was taken by my sister Kate a few days before Lily officially turned one month. Here are a few more just because she is so cute.

Dozing

We are storing this bulldozer for Jeff's dad while he tries to sell it. Jeff took advantage of the nice weather and his last day before returning to work to level out part of the yard and tear out a couple of stumps.

It did make a bit of a messbut Jeff enjoyed playing on his temporary toy.

First Walk

Jeff and I took advantage of the beautiful weather on Monday to take Lily on her first walk around the neighborhood. She enjoyed being all bundled up and all of us enjoyed the fresh air.

Photo Shoot

My sister Brooke came over when Lily was one and half weeks old to take some pictures with her fancy camera. There are too many amazing pictures to post them all, but here is a sample of my favorites. I am so blessed to be able to enjoy the real thing every day!

Beauty Secrets

Lily is a very beautiful little girl but how does she keep her stylish looks you may wonder...

Since her umbilical cord fell off, she has been upgraded to water baths. Clearly she still doesn't like them very much. The bath didn't last very long before I had to take her out. All that screaming is hard on a mom!

This past week I also attempted to conquer my fears of cutting Lily's nails. This is something I have been needing to do for a while but prolonged by buying mittens. I was able to cut one nail and file about 6 before giving up again. Maybe next week I will try again...

Lily is also working on getting strong with some quality tummy time. She likes this much more than baths and getting her nails cut. But the real secret is all the beauty sleep she gets.

Pictures!

Lily is absolutely adorable. My new favorite past time is just to watch her stretch her face muscles. I am not talented enough or quick enough to capture her many looks on camera. She has an amazing little smile, a mischievious half grin, and a sweet expressions of wonder. The experts say it is all just reflexive, but I am convinced she is smiling at me. Here are a few random pictures of Lily's first few days.

Kate took some great pictures with her camera at our Christmas celebration.

I sure do love my little girl!

We have all be a little sleepy since Lily's arrival. Normally she sleeps in her basinet or pack-in-play, but her favorite place is to sleep next to us on the couch or being held.

Lily has such cute feet and crazy long fingers. Maybe she will be a piano player!

She wasn't too fond of her first bath, but she liked cuddling with Daddy afterwords.

Sadie is very curious about Lily.

Cozy in her carseat.

She loves to stretch out while she sleeps, no matter how tight we try to swaddle her hands in.
